On November 18, 2020, the Chinese Society of Power Engineering and National Energy Group Shandong Electric Power Co. Ltd. organized an Expert Panel to convene an official meeting of "Project Approval and Assessment of High Temperature Boiler Corrosion and Coking of Heating Surfaces" in Feixian, Shandong. The Expert Panel assessed the written and oral reports prepared by Walsn Energy Technology (Langfang) Co. Ltd. together with other project team members. After carefully reviewing all relevant technical data, the panel successfully reached their agreement and formed the Approval Opinion.
Aimed at the harsh monitoring environment of the boiler furnace including high temperature, potential corrosion, high particle concentration, severe wear, and a large range of CO concentration, the project focuses on the accuracy and reliability and anti-corrosion, wear resistance, anti-blocking, high temperature resistance and other characteristics of the gas circuit. An online CO monitoring technology suitable for coal-fired boilers has been successfully developed. The implementation of this technology provides an important foundation of basic data and problem analysis for online monitoring of the high temperature corrosion risk of water-cooled walls that is common in coal-fired boilers.
The Expert Panel agreed that the research results of this project are of great significance to the monitoring of high-temperature corrosion of large-scale power plant boilers and coking on the heating surface. In view of the monitoring of boiler high temperature corrosion and heating surface coking, the project team conducted analysis and research from two aspects of flue gas characteristics and heating surface thermal deviation. The Panel also concluded that the research scope is comprehensive, there are innovations and breakthroughs in certain key areas and the technology is at the leading level in China. The Panel finally approved the successful completion of the project and recommended the technology shall be widely used in industrial applications.
